Is there research on the benefits of Aloe in wound healing? Yes, research has shown the topical effect of Aloe vera on wound healing in mice over a 7 day period resulted in a 50.8% decrease in wound diameter. Aloe vera healed third degree burns six times faster than traditional medicines, including Silver Sulfadiazine. Aloe extract decreased inflammation 29.2% when applied topically. Do I have to use all three steps together?  No.  While all three products work synergistically together, there are instances when you will only be using one step or another for wounds of varying severity or during different stages of the healing process.  Step One, the Cleanser, will be used for the initial cleaning, disinfection and debris removal of an active wound.  Step Two, the Treatment, can be used alone or after Step One.  Step Three can be used for simple cuts and scrapes after cleaning or on more serious wounds once Step Two has dried or when bandaging is required.  If there is one "catch-all" product in the bag, it is Step Two, the Treatment.

How do I use Aloe-Medicated Shampoo?  Wet animal thoroughly and remove surface dirt.   Mix 1 to 2 ounces of Aloe-Medicated Shampoo with 1 gallon of water.  Apply to animal and work into a rich lather, being sure the lather is worked thoroughly into the hair down to the skin.  Allow lather to stand for 5-10 minutes, then rinse completely and towel dry to remove excess water.  Repeat on heavily soiled areas.  Do not use on cats. You may use ALOE ADVANTAGE Phenol Wound Cleanser as a spray on follow up treatment.

For a quick sheen just point and spray a mist on a dry coat or mane and tail until hair is damp. Allow to dry and then continue grooming.
